… I have time to type this short post before leaving for school.
Chinese New Year celebrations over the last few days in Malaysia were quite fun, even thought I spent lots of time trying to work. Family, is always important, and worth braving the 4 hour car ride for. I’m pretty sure I ate more that I had too on more than one occasion, and it was loads of fun. Its a comforting thought that I can start training after Love/ Retreat for the upcoming races.
Okay printing’s done. Keep praying for me.

16 days to Christmas!
Today:
- I went to CK Tangs to do CAS- gift wrapping in efforts to raise funds for Focus on the Family.
- Was tiring- I spent about 5 hours standing at a booth in B1 attempting to wrap presents (I’m not very good).
- Was embarrassing, there were times when the presents were so horribly wrapped, and the customers were right in front of me, trying their best to be patient. Though I was smiling on the outside, as per the Christmas spirit, there were times when I was panicking and praying internally.
- Was blessed- customers were really nice, even when I messed up; and I managed to do some passable work.
- I met my primary school mate cheng ying, who is studying at MJ now. The last time we talked was approximately 7 years ago! It was great to hear that she received Christ 2 years back.
- I realized that its a good thing that gift wrapping is not one of my HLs.
- I was reminded how far behind I am in terms of getting gifts for people. Please, don’t anyone expect much out of me this year.
- I worked (still working) on my EE. Posting on this blog functions as a break.
- I thanked God for the way today worked out.
Tomorrow
- There is church to attend.
- Bags to pack.
- EE to work on.
- Seven day camp to go for.
- Foreign delegates to meet.
- Dinner with foreign delegates at somewhere uniquely Singaporean.
- God to trust.
In the near future, I have
- EE, TOK Essay, Business IA to finish.
- Christmas shopping to do.
- Theater arts scripts to work on.
- More gift wrapping at CK Tangs.
- Family to celebrate Christmas with. I can’t believe I’ve spent so much time out of the house so far.
- Cooking to learn. Mom’s teaching.
- Christmas dinner to help prepare. Am looking forward to this.
- Hopefully a trip around town to look at the lights.
- Time to cherish! The holidays are passing so fast.
- God to love.
Other interesting things worth doing.
- Running to run.
- Cycling to cycle.
- Ultimate to play.

Its been a while since I updated though I assure you that I haven’t been in the bad mood that my blog was in because of the last (two) posts. Much has happened since then, including a weekend trip to Malaysia with the family. We drove up to Lumut, Perak, where I took part in a sprint duathlon, called Powerman, which was mighty fun; more importantly, I was blessed so much.
We left Singapore on Friday, and stopped in KL for the first night, staying at my aunt’s house, before driving up the next day. Because I was in KL, my family managed to spend some time with relatives that we normally see only a few times a year. This trip I had learned to fully appreciate them. Some of them really went through a lot of trouble to accommodate us, and all of them are really a nice bunch that I normally don’t appreciate enough. I should at this point include some nice pictures, unfortunately, we didn’t take any. Maybe at Chinese New Year next year.
The next day we left for Lumut, Perak; we had a hard time trying to find the hotel once we were in the town itself. Eventually, after we had checked in, we met up with pastor Henry’s family. Pastor Henry was a pastor that ministered to my mom’s family, many years ago, before most of them were Christian and before my mom was married. That day, they had met up after many years, and we went for dinner with pastor’s family.
Sunday, race day. More on that in the next post.
